Any old cunt can figure out that he has two or three games left to save his job - this is hadly informed comment from the Wail, is it?
We're one place above the relegation zone. It's too late to make a change before Chelsea. We then play Wolves away and Arsenal at home. If we're in the bottom three, or close to it, at that point in mid-December, with the Jan transfer window closing in, then the porn bros will panic and make the change they don't really want to make.
It's not rocket science.

I think I believe the rumour more that they'll pin their hopes on Fabianski back soon and the improvement in keeper will enable us to pick up points again and climb the table enough for relative safety

They won't wait until after the transfer window.
Even they know that is a recipe for disaster, because they will be held directly responsible for any relegation that followed from that.
No new manager, of any quality, will want to come in after the window and with just three months of the season left to save the club from relegation. So all the attention would turn on the owners.
By giving a new guy, even an interim (which I suspect it might be), a transfer window they will be outsourcing that blame to Manny and whoever comes in.
I don't imagine they would cough up much transfer window cash. Enough to say that they've done something to try to prevent any possible relegation. They might even insist that any new manager has to sell in order to buy - and then look for a couple of decent loans. It'll be window dressing.

Gents,
In those 2 games Southampton play Norwich and Watford, if the beat them and we inevitably lose to Chelsea then they are only 2 points behind, we then lose to Wolves; come 14th they could either be a point behind, or, us in bottom three. He'll need to go after Saturday.

If we get a thumping at Chelsea particularly with another lethargic performance then I can’t see him getting another game the pressure would be too much

All the while other clubs are being decisive and getting in managers that may have been available for us.

Levy knew that Arsenal had made contact with Jose so he reacted quickly. If Arsenal (or more likely everton) speak to any of our targets we will wait to get beaten by chelsea and wolves.

They simply WILL NOT spend good amounts in the January window, so it will be a yes man 'Moyes' type at best, or Hughton or Dyche or Howe, ALL will fit their 'under the thumb' work within UP sized budget whilst renting a top six capacity stadium.
It's back into 'stabilisation mode'...........after a half arsed attempt to step up......

Howe must be nuts if that's true. We must be nuts for wanting to gamble on him. It'd be exciting.

it would be interesting tosee his contract of employment and job description,
what is for instance the role and function as well as the financial perimeters of the job.
we know more about the Prime ministers responsibilities than we know about the club manager
